Eyelid & Facial Lumps & Tumors

On the skin of the eyelid and face all sorts of lesions can grow.
The common conditions are usually benign such as skin moles, skin sun damage spots (actinic keratosis), skin viral warts and sebaceous cysts. Unfortunately malignant tumours can grow on the eyelid and skin of the face such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma. The malignant lesions gradually grow further and can cause bleeding and change of the shape of the lesion and colour from time to time. Malignant lesions of the eyelid need to be excised with part of the eyelid and need reconstructive techniques.
