Eyelid Cysts

On the eyelid there are 2 types of lesions.
One group consists of skin lesions, such as eyelid skin tags and malignant lesions explained above. The other group is the lesions within the eyelid itself which usually forms an eyelid cyst. A stye is an infection at the base of the eyelash and usually does not have a lump. Skin lesions are removed surgically or with laser. Eyelid cysts are removed by incising the tarsus of the eyelid from inside and evacuating the cyst.
